El Gatopardo/ The Leopard.

Libros que he leído/ Books I have read, Literatura/Literature

In my early 20’s I discovered my love for historic novels, and this love remains in the man I’m now. One of this novels is The Leopard.

Written by Prince Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa (1896-1957), and published after his death, this work of art soon got public eye and introduces us in the frozen world of Italy in the middle of XIX century, and protrayed the life of Prince di Salina and his family during the end of an era, where the new air approaches and turn upside down the unmovable world of people, and changes everything, leaving nothing as they knew it before, in the remains of the days.gatopardo.

The author never watched his success. But I think he didn’t care more. And we know almost nothing about his life. But I think he is quite responsability for this, and he liked it so much. The mistery around his author levels the joy, the sensibility and the impact of his novel. And that’s what really matters after all.

Only one point I have with this beautiful book and it’s to see the more than beautiful movie adaptation (1963) by Luchino Visconti and watch and appreciate the power of Burt Lancaster as Prince di Salina, and the beauty of both Claudia Cardinale and Alain Delon embracing love and despair in the center of those windy times of change.

Lugares que he visto/ Places I haven been

I was in Munich in springtime. It was a beautiful week, plenty of sun and flowers and beer. But, even knowing I was lucky about weather, Munich blossomed in all its pure spirit and beauty. It’s a pretty city, so beautiful, tender and warm as its citizens, friendly and proud of its Bavarian soul. It was my first touch with German spirit, and it was a collision. My very own spirit identifies with it and I felt like I was at home. I fell in love with Germany through Munich, and even everybody knows Bavarian Region is not exactly like the rest of Germany, it has the same strengh, the same determination and stubborness…And, God, I love that!

If someone would ask me where I’d want to live if I could chosen to, I must admit Germany would be on the list… I love Munich’s peace; how open and proud its people are; and the warm and welcoming they’re.

Cómo Decir Te Quiero/ How To Say I Love You.

Arte/ Art, El día a día/ The days we're living

This is a short produced form british company Pretend We Don’t Exist Productions,Pretend We Don\’t Exist Productions. Its titled is: How To Say I Love You.

I found it one day searching for nothing on YouTube. I just loved it the first time I saw it. I like its simplicity (only on its surface), its kindness and its silences. It’s a petit work of art for me, and I just wanted to share it on a day I wished an endless rest of my always unmerciful soul’s journey.

El día a día/ The days we're living

Today they spoke of you. And from the fallen gray sky it brought a singular lightening, like a planetary blessing.olympic_storm_1.lrg

Today I’ve been said you were well. That you are living a good life; that you had bought a car; that you went on a trip to the end of the world.

Today it rained bitterly; the wind whipped the drops of rain with ferocity, and seemed my own tears, until they talked me of you.

And it is stupid, because you do not want to hear me, and I, I give up my life for a little piece of yours.

Anyways, nothing matters: it has been always this way.

If we’re about  to end this, let it be slowly… You requested it once to me; you suggested me last day that we saw ourselves, clearing my  ears with your slighty dry bittersweet lips.

But it was not happened that way: you plucked me off my roots, without any request or interest about what I felt, or feel, or can I feel or I will feel by you.

This morning, rain yielded to the sun once the memory of you appeared suddenly in my heart, once I smelled the sweet air of your name, once I felt the cold touch of your kisses… But it was only a moment in my memory, nothing else.

To know about you turns out to be a dark illness, a wicked spell that seems to end my life from within…, and I lay that knowledge to do so to myself.

And if there is has to be thus, like it really is, let it be slowly… As it was not our goodbye.

Rosal en Casa da ReboltaMi rosal precioso

   Me ofrecieron una flor,

   que tal flor jamás hizo nacer Mayo;

pero dije: «Tengo un rosal precioso»,

   y desdeñé la dulce flor.

Entonces me llegué hasta mi rosal precioso,

   para cuidarlo noche y día;

My Pretty Rose Treerosales-febrero

A flower was offerd to me:

Such a flower as May never bore.

But I said I’ve  a Pretty Rose-tree,

And I passed the sweet flower o’er.

Then I went to my Pretty Rose-tree,

To tend her by day by night.

But my Rose turnd away with jealousy,

And her thorns were my only delight.
