Me gusta Todd Clary. Por muchos motivos. Su inteligencia, su talento, su sentido del humor, a veces tortuoso e intrincado (o me lo parece a mí, que me pierdo muchas veces con su inglés), su capacidad para hacer de lo cotidiano algo divertido y de lo cual aprender.

Todd Clary es artista. Y aplica esa visión al mundo que lo rodea. Todo es susceptible de ser aprehendido y comprendido y aceptado, y pone todo su empeño en ello. Desde el ejercicio físico hasta su blog, desde sus dibujos hasta sus fotografías, desde la amistad que vive con pasión, hasta su labor de marido y padre. Todd tiene muchas caras, y es brillante en todas ellas. Puntilloso, excesivo, incisivo, único, Todd Clary es una de esas personas que luchan por ser enteras y claras, y en cuya lucha nos vemos reflejados todos y nos vemos inspirados todos y podemos encontrar, todos, que la verdadera pasión de vivir está en el día a día, en las pequeñas cosas que se hacen grandes y en el empeño, siempre eterno, que ponemos en ellas.

Y Todd Clary está hoy de cumpleaños, y desde aquí le quiero enviar, hasta el lejano Colorado donde vive, mi más efusiva felicitación y mis más sinceras gracias por dejarme atisbar, si quiera un poco, parte de ese talento para la vida y esa claridad única.

I like Todd Clary. For many reason and for no one in particular. His intelligence, his talent, his unique sense of humor (I get lost so many times with his English…), and this great capacity to transform the day by day into  something quite extraordinary and into life’s lessons to learn.

He’s an artist. And he looks around the world with those artistic eyes. With him anything goes, everything is susceptible to be learnt, comprehended and accepted. And his efforts are so profound and great that make everything almost reachable. From his physic training to his blog; from his drawings to his photographs; his books; his friends and his wife and kids, the many faces of Todd Clary make himself a clever one and an unique figure indeed. He makes small things quite enjoyable and he finds out in all of them the real joy of living, and he’s not afraid to show it and to share it with us, his public. And us, as his public, are allowed to find ourselves in his efforts and in his cleverness and in his goals, that he achieves with so quite manners and such polite modesty. Yeah.

And today is Todd Clary’s Birthday. So, from here to Colorado, I just want to send to him not only my wishes of a great life (he’s owning his own wonderful life) but as well my undeniable thankfulness to be treated and allowed to share with him his many talents, his craziness and his claryty about big and small life issues and about faith, parenthood, friendship, love…, and, of course, Barry Manilow.
